I thought I was going to be a Marine Biologist, but then I realized that I get horrible motion sickness on boats, so that was sort of out of the question.
Somewhere along the way, I picked up a camera and let it lead me through Europe and back home to Berkeley, where I decided to attend California College of the Arts.

I think my work in photography is influenced by my prior involvement with science and I find that the two are intertwined. I am most interested in the way in which photography shapes and influences the way that we see and how we address the act of looking.
